This course will prepare the learners to autonomous, lifelong learners of English by means of mastering ICT literacy skills. The learners will learn to use various ICT tools including digital tools, social media, and communication/networking tools effectively to access, manage, organize, evaluate, and communicate information in order to enrich their English language learning process. They will also have an ample understanding of the ethical, legal, and cultural aspects of the use of technology.

This course will introduce the learners to the theory, concepts, and principles in multimedia and multimedia development, particularly those related to English language learning and teaching. They will also learn some technological skills that will enable them to develop various media that can be used for English language learning and teaching. The course will comprise of some discussions on the current issues as well as some projects related to multimedia development.

The learners will discuss various kinds of technology and their application in second/foreign language learning. They will also have some opportunities to create, use, and evaluate various tools that can enhance second/foreign language learning and teaching. The course will mainly consist of workshops that provide the learners with hands-on activities especially in material development, while at the same time engages the learners in discussions on the theories, principles, and trends in TELL.
